The Experience
You are going to spend the day as part of the crew sailing a magnificent 60 metre tall ship.  In true pirate-style you will take part in hoisting the complex square-rigged sails (the mast is 45m tall!), helming the ship, hauling the ropes and even attempting the up and over. For those who would rather sit back and take in the view there is plenty of room on deck.  You can stand back and enjoy the sailing, be lookout on the bridge or even climb out onto the bowsprit for a closer look at the action.  Your expert crew will make sure your days runs smoothly and will be on hand to answer questions about the fascinating ship.

Vital Information
No previous sailing experience is required and non-swimmers are welcome. It is not suitable if you are pregnant, suffer from neck or back problems, are aged under 14 or over 75. As a very popular experience you will need to book at least 8 weeks in advance.

The Weather
Sailing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make it dangerous. Please call the centre if in any doubt.

Session Length
Please allow a full day to enjoy this experience. Spectators are welcome to watch and wave from the quayside as you depart for your adventure.

Dress Code
Dress warmly and casually with extra layers. It is important to bring an anorak and soft-soled shoes (trainers are ideal). A life-jacket will be provided.
