How does the gift experience voucher work?

The Experience
They say the best things come in small packages, and it is no truer than when you are behind the wheel of the fabulous MINI Cooper. You can't help it, you're already grinning before you get in. It's just one of those cars. These Super speeding Mini-Coopers are jam packed with thrills and spills. You're going to be hurtling round the track, with your instructor as your co-driver, screeching on the tarmac and gripping at the wheel as you take on the challenging corners and bends of the circuit. The experience ends with a certificate and debriefing session.

Vital Information
Participants must possess a full UK driving license and bring it with them on the day of the experience. Minimum height is 5'0'', maximum height is 6'5''. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Participants will be required to sign a disclaimer before taking part.

Weather
If there is a threat of extreme conditions i.e. snow, ice or fog please call the location once you've booked your date.

Session Length
The length of the experience is approximately 2 hours. Please note that there is some waiting time as the car is shared between 3 drivers. The time in the car is 15-30 minutes, depending on the location.

Numbers
There will be between 1 and 25 other people taking part in the session. There may be some waiting time as your car is shared between 3 drivers.

Spectators
Spectators are welcome by most of the locations. Please check it, before taking them with you.

Dress Code
Please wear long sleeve shirts, long trousers and light flat-soled. Crash helmets will be provided. Where a helmet is required for an experience it is mandatory and there will be no exceptions.

Availability
This experience operates usually from May to November on selected weekdays and Saturdays. Please check availability and book early to avoid disappointment.

Fascinating Facts

The Mini arrived on 26 August 1959. Having been designed by Sir Alec Issigonis as an affordable four-seater car it cost just under £500 and was initially only available with a 850cc 34bhp engine. The next 10 years saw the Mini go from a car to go shopping in to a must have fashion accessory. John Cooper, twice F1 World Champion Constructor, realised the potential of the Mini's sharp handling and manoeuvrability. The Cooper S 91bhp Works spec cars won the Monte Carlo Rally outright for four years running from 1964-1967. Soon everybody from The Beatles and Peter Sellers to Graham Hill and Enzo Ferrari wanted a Cooper and they wanted it modified. Companies such as Wood & Pickett who normally worked with Rolls Royces turned their hands to Minis, installing everything from electric windows and leather seats to wickerwork sides and hatch backs. In 1969, The Italian Job was released, a film remembered for Michael Caine and one of the best car chases ever filmed. Three Mini Coopers are pursued through the streets, drains and over the rooftops of Turin with the police on their trail. In 1999, 40 years after it appeared the Mini was named Car of the Millennium in polls. An exciting chapter in the car's history began on 7 July 2001 with the launch of the new MINI to acclaim from press and public.
