Experience
You'll blow the whistle and take your position on the footplate of a great steam locomotive, you`ll have chance to drive and crew the train and learn some important facts about the working life of a steam train. With at least six railways to choose from any steam train enthusiast will have the chance to fulfil a lifelong dream.

Restrictions
Itineraries, duration and timings vary with each steam train location. Due to the popularity of this experience, availability can be very limited. Minimum age 18

Vital Information
 Minimum age 18. please book eight weeks in advance because of the popularity of the experience.

Session Length
This is a full day experience from 09:00 to 16:30. This experience only runs from March until October.

Numbers
Only the holder of the voucher is allowed to do the experience but the spectators are welcome at most locations.

Dress Code
Wear sensible leisure clothes and flat shoes. A towel and a change of clothes is advisable.

Availability
The availability can be very limited because of the popularity of the experience.

Locations
For your experience you can choose from the following locations.

North West Lancashire running times full day from 08:30 to 16:30.

East Anglia Essex running from May to November, full day experience starts at 09:00.

South Central Hampshire. There is an option between a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session starts at 09:30 and the afternoon session starts at 13:30. The running days at this location are from Tuesday to Thursday. 

West Midlands Worcestershire half day course. Times will be provided by location.

Kent location offers a whole day experience which runs from 08:30 to 16:30. The running days for this experience are Monday and Friday.
