The Experience

This Formula Driving experience is the perfect outdoor activity. The racing session consists of a saloon car demonstration and instruction laps with a qualified racing instructor. Next you will complete the comprehensive briefing that covers the basics of driving a single seater racing vehicle including safety, gear changing, general track behaviour, discipline and cornering lines. This session will take half a day to complete.

Once you have completed your briefing it will then be your turn to take to the wheel in this formula driving experience. The formula experience will begin with exercise laps and tutoring from your instructor who will assess what you have learned during your briefing. Now that you feel ready, you will now be able to get into the single seater, that has the race specification of a Formula Ford. You will receive tuition on the controls and driving position. It is now time to start your formula racing, consisting of 7 laps. When you have completed your laps, you will take part in the debriefing.

Finally you will receive certificate of completion for your Formula racing experience.

Vital Information

For this Formula driving experience you are not required to have a driving licence or even be of a certain age, however the maximum weight is 18 stone (approx 115 kg) and the maximum height is 6 feet 5 inches (approx 1,98m). There is a minimum height of 5 feet (approx 1,52 metres). You must be able to use a manual gearbox. Lunch will not be included. Previous experience is not required.

The Weather

The Formula Driving experience is not dependent on weather conditions.

Session Length

The Driving experience in a Formula car will take a half day. From 9am - 1.30 pm.

Numbers

Your racing experience will be shared with other participants, although the price is for one participant only.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome.

Dress Code

Casual cloths and flat shoes are recommended. Safety clothing, helmets and overalls are provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you so wish.

Availability

On selected weekends of the year. High season is during the summer this is the most popular time to participate in the Formula Driving Experience so you will need to book early.
