The Experience
Explore the history of the Brooklyn beer scene from the 19th century to the present day.
You will be taken on a guided walking tour to visit two pre-prohibition era breweries that are still standing and to a working brewery where you will have a private tour and the chance to taste some of their beer. During the tour you will be told stories of brewing, bottling and bootlegging and will learn the history of the German neighborhood.
Enjoy Pizza and lager beer for lunch during the tour and at the end you will be taken to a bar in Williamsburg to enjoy more craft beer.
Vital Information
This tour is for those age 21 and over only. Proper identification will be required and checked. Tours are to be booked in advance. All food tastings and beverages are included. To cancel the tour you have booked you must give 72 hours notice of the tour start time. Tours involve around 1-2 miles of walking. Transportation is included.
The Weather
Tours operate in rain or shine, so please plan ahead and dress for the weather. In extreme cases, however, if the weather conditions are dangerous the tour may be cancelled. In this instance you would be called at least 2.5 hours before your tour was due to start.
Session Length
This tour lasts approximately three and a half hours.
Numbers
This voucher is valid for one person. These tours limit the number of people on them to provide a more interactive experience.
Spectators
Spectators are not allowed. Anyone wishing to join you should purchase a voucher and book onto the same tour.
What To Wear
Be comfortable! Don’t carry anything heavy and please make sure to wear comfortable shoes. If it’s raining outside, please make sure to dress appropriately and bring an umbrella. If it’s cold, bundle up!
