The Experience
You will enjoy discovering the brand new clay pigeon arena, set in some of the finest countryside in Central Scotland, designed with safety and excitement in mind. First off, the expert instructors will show you how to use a shotgun. Once you're happy, you can put what you've learnt to the test, with eight stands offering a variety of targets suitable for all abilities. Our large shooting lodge overlooks the shooting ranges and is ideal for keeping an eye on the competition.

Vital Information
You have to be 10 years or older to have this experience.

The Weather
Shooting may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain).

Session Length
The duration depends on the group size.

Numbers
There are a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 36 ones during the shooting session.

Spectators
Spectators are welcome to join you.

What To Wear
You are free to wear what you feel comfortable in.

Availability
The experience is available at many times throughout the day on selected weekdays throughout the year.

Clay pigeon shooting, formally known as Inanimate Bird Shooting, is the art of shooting at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets, with a shotgun or any type of firearm.
The terminology commonly used by clay shooters often relates to times past, when live pigeon competitions were held. Although such competitions were made illegal in the UK in 1921, a target is still called a 'target' or 'bird', a hit is referred to as a 'hit' or 'kill', a missed target might be described as a 'bird away' and the machine which projects the targets is known as a 'trap'.
