The Experience
During your vacation in Venice, take the opportunity to pay a visit to Murano, one of the most important and populated islands of the Venetian lagoon. The island, in addition to giving charming views to its visitors, is known around the world for the glass industry , the centuries-old art, passed down from generation to generation, and developed since 1295, when the glassworks in Venice, whose ovens were often the cause of disastrous fires in the city, were transferred to Murano. Since then, the island became the undisputed home of glass crafts, whose products are now protected under the brand name "Murano Art Glass."
During our tour of the glass factory, you will leave Venice by taxi-boat and reach to the north of the lagoon island of Murano. Here, you will have the chance to discover Murano and glass works through guided tours to the laboratories of Venetian glassmakers, to admire the finished works and to understand the evolution that has had over the years this very ancient art.
