During your journey, both Clodagh with Belmond Executive Chef Mark Bodie, will be on board preparing all meals, giving you an authentic taste first-hand on board. They will both be available to converse with passengers from time to time, walking up and down the carriages chatting to guests. Later that day, disembark to Ballyvolane House where you’ll meet foraging expert Andrew Malcolm as he takes you around the beautiful grounds to seek out wile edible delights. After your forage, meet owner Jenny and tour the enchanting country house before a tutored tasting at Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery located nearby. This unique distillery uses whey alcohol from Irish cows’ milk and is named after the legendary cow ‘Big Bertha’ who lived to a record-breaking age of 48. Return to the Grand Hibernian for a delicious dinner after which Celtic entertainment is offered in the Observation Car.
Day 2 – Galway:
